The Salamander Sonoma 236 is a cherry wood veneer finished tv cabinet suitable for LED, LCD and Plasma TV's up to 61 inches. The cabinet is built using a sturdy extruded aluminium chassis to support the heaviest of AV equipment - total load capacity for this tv stand is 350Kg. The Sonoma 236 has a centre section which features a speaker opening with a removable grille designed to hide a speaker. There is a media or accessory storage drawer underneath the speaker opening to store remote controls or upto hold 111 CD's or 75 DVD's. To the side are two concealed cabinets behind wooden doors with black perforated inserts that allow IR remote controls to work with the doors closed and further enhance ventilation and cooling of equipment. There is a height adjustable shelf on each side that is capable of supporting 34Kg each.

Salamander's AV cabinets all feature advanced passive cooling, but if you have equipment that is very large and requires additional cooling then there is the optional Active Cooling System that is designed to prevent heat buildup inside Chameleon cabinets. The system employs a remote thermostat and dual maintenance-free fans. When the thermostat is placed atop a component, fans provide precise cooling. The system replaces a standard rear cabinet panel.
