The Atacama Equinox HiFi BB-4 is a multi award winning modular hifi equipment rack. It is designed and built to enhance the sound quality of any audio system.
The sturdy frame is manufactured from high-grade steel and is finished in matt black. The base unit stands on adjustable floor spikes for excellent sound isolation. Each glass shelf is toughened to BS6206A and is sonically isolated from the metal frame.
The Equinox HiFi has the unique ability to grow with your system by allowing you to add additional shelf modules to the stand shown. These modules are available in either 130mm or 180mm height configurations - you then simply stack on top the individual optional single shelf modules to achieve the rack you require. Each shelf is isolated from the one below with heavy duty adjustable spikes.
The Equinox Series was first launched in 2001 with the introduction of the Equinox Hifi Rack. It soon gained ‘Best Buy’ status, but in 2004 it achieved the ultimate accolade of ‘Product of the year’ at the What Hifi? Sound & Vision Awards, a position it also won in 2005, 2006 and most recently 2007, an unprecedented four years in succession!
In 2011 Atacama released the ARC glass upgrade for the equinox racks, the Atacama Resonance Control glass for the Equinox Hifi models is specially made laminated glass that has a dampening core and is over 50% thicker than standard Equinox glass to further improve the performance of the Equinox Hifi range of equipment supports. This is available as an optional extra below.
