Atacama Aurora 6 speaker stands are a unique design with toughened glass columns that can be filled with almost anything from ball bearings to Atacama's own high density atabites speaker stand filler, with a toughened glass base available in clear or piano black glass. As with all Atacama stands, performance has not been overlooked and the Aurora 6 offers excellent acoustic isolation and sound performance.
A resonance effect at the end of a glass column would normally prevent any effective speaker stand being designed like this, but Atacama have overcome this problem by adding the A.S.I.S.T. Gasket (Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology), a special bung at each end of the glass column that deadens the sound, allowing them to offer excellent support for your speakers.
The glass column isn't the only radical feature of the Aurora 6, just look at the base! Originally only available in clear glass, the base is also now available in piano black glass to match any piano black Atacama hi-fi or AV stand. The Aurora 6 is a radical departure from metal speaker stands and can be filled with almost anything - apart from liquid or living things!
These speaker stands include a set of clear Atacama Gel Pads that stick to the corner of the top of each stand to keep your speakers in place and to further isolate the speaker and improve performance. Each base is supported by glass spikes.
