The Ikon AVS SPC series are cost effective, entry-level control interfaces for display devices including LCD and DLP Projectors as well as LCD and Plasma displays.
The controllers feature a bi-directional RS232 interface for control over the display and therefore it allows handshaking to ensure synchronisation of the devices (1).
Two open collector outputs are fitted which can be used for the control of electric screens via external relays.
An input is provided to provide either room occupancy shutdown via an external PIR sensor, panel lockout via a keyswitch or system shutdown via a volt-free contact.
All SPC controllers feature an orange backlit power button along with two or three green backlit input select buttons and a blue backlit picture blank button. On the SPC 6 & 7 two additional backlit buttons are provided for volume raise and lower (2).
To program the unit it is only necessary to download a library module for complete control over the display, although full customisation over input selection, warm up & cool down times etc is provided.
The installer can also set up a four-button sequence to lock and unlock the panels, operation.
The SPC series are fabricated on a 50mm Euro module allowing their use in a wide range of wall
panels in UK, European, UK and NZ formats. This format also allows the easy combining of control and input panels as well as use in the Ikon range of desk modules.
All the SPC controllers are supplied with a 12V power supply.
